General Hospital has welcomed actor Johnny Wactor in the role of Brando Corbin, the presumed-dead son of Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs). However, fans will have to wait for his appearance, which was originally scheduled for January 22 but was pushed back due to preemptions.

The heat is on as General Hospital's turf war continues to rage, and the friction isn't just going to make for good entertainment in the weeks ahead. It's also set to bring about the addition of actor Johnny Wactor in the role of Brando Corbin, the previously presumed-dead son of Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs).

A recently released extended trailer for the ABC soap opera shows that Brando is very much alive, and in fact, he was supposed to make his first appearance in Port Charles last week. However, due to the preemptions currently keeping the soap off the air, fans will have to wait for the introduction of Brando -- as well as what looks to be some pretty epic mob war material.

As fans may recall, it wasn't that long ago that Sonny (Maurice Benard) asked Gladys to lie about her son's life, urging her to pretend to be Dev's (Ashton Arbab) grandmother by claiming that Dev was Brando's son. While initially reluctant, Gladys agreed after Sonny offered her a giant paycheck for her help in the deception. Time will tell how that might play into Brando's upcoming arrival on the ABC series.

Wactor is new to daytime, but he has a lot of credits behind him, including Army Wives, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Training Day, Hollywood Girl, Age Appropriate, and USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage. He can also be seen in the upcoming mini-series The Passenger.
